Bread of Life, Living Water
We women yearn and ache in our hearts and spirits much more than men. We feel more. We need more. We spiritually and emotionally hunger and thirst more. Jesus says, “I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35 NIV) He told the Samaritan woman at the well, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” Jesus Christ is He for whom our hearts and spirits yearn. Only He can fulfill our spiritual hunger and quench our spiritual thirst. Some people spend years searching for a person to fulfill that need, and sadly, some never find out that Jesus Christ was there for them all along. Dear sisters, we must share the news. Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life and the Living Water.
