Hang Onto That Hope!
If you’re like me, you tend to worry about members of your family. My mom will be 78 in a couple of weeks, and she’s having more and more problems with her memory. I worry about my son for various reasons, and this morning I found myself fighting off the tears. “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV) I hope, I hope because my Lord God Almighty says He has plans that will give me hope. I’m going to hang onto that hope, and I’m going to pray and pray and pray. I’m also going to buy my mom one of those write-on/wipe-off boards and a nice organizer for her birthday. And I’m going to write the above verse on both presents.
