Humility

I’ve discovered that the workplace is definitely a place that exposes any lack of humility within you. When people who are loafing hand over something to you to do yourself, adjectives like “lazy” and phrases like “Well, of all the nerve” fly through your head. Instead of labeling the other person, we need to stop and ask ourselves if we can honestly call ourselves the noun word: “servant.” That’s what Jesus calls us to be. “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 7:12 NIV) “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.” (Philippians 2:3 NIV)
