Whom Are You Seeking?
In John 20:11-16, Mary Magdalene goes to the tomb and finds the body of Jesus gone. She weeps. An angel asks her why she is weeping. She continues to weep. Jesus asks her why she is weeping and "Whom are you seeking?" Mary was seeking Jesus among the dead. Don't we sometimes do that? Don't we push Him aside so often that we forget He lives? If we'd stop pushing Him aside, we wouldn't end up having to seek Him. If we'd stop pushing Him aside we wouldn't find ourselves weeping. If we'd stop pushing Him aside, we wouldn't find ourselves searching among the dead. "He who seeks finds...." (from Matthew 7:8) TRULY---WHOM ARE YOU SEEKING?
